I purchased my first property in New York City at 28 years old on a salary of $48,000 a year. Not only did I purchase a property, it was a 3 family home. That decision has changed my financial position in a variety of ways, most notably having my tenants pay for the majority of my housing costs in one of the most expensive cities in America.
I didn’t purchase this home because I come from money; on the contrary. I am an immigrant. I am black. I am a female. I am single. I am a millennial with a mountain of student loan debt. I am the granddaughter of a house maid. I have all odds stacked against me not to successfully build wealth. And this is precisely why I must push forward and succeed, and also help as many people that look like me to do the same.
My name Nobuhle Musekiwa. I am a real estate investor taking a walk down Financial Freedom Boulevard. Join me on your favorite social media platform, and let’s take this financial freedom journey together.
